Hump Day Favorites.
Why do people have New Year resolutions? Shouldn't you resolve to be the best you can be on a daily basis? Crowded gyms, empty malls - people usually tend to give up their resolutions around January 23rd. The second wave usually hits around February 14th (when chocolate slowly re-integrates into our lives...) I've been guilty of the cycle, I am no saint.
And I'm done venting. On to the good stuff. I haven't blogged in a while, perhaps I haven't felt inspired. Today feels different. Or maybe my winter blues don't seem so bad on this lovely sunny day. In any case, here are my WE LOVE WEDNESDAY favorites.
Happy Wednesday everyone.

1. Explosions in the sky - Last known surroundings
This song came on while I was walking to work this morning. Sometimes a song is just perfect for the moment.
2. M.A.C Lipstick - Rebel

2013.
We could probably all use a little extra positivity in our lives at some point. Today I feel hopeful - while I was rushing to get ready for work, I knocked over a little card that was on my desk. Written by my mother, the card had 4 life rules to live by; the four agreements as she calls them.
**The idea comes from a book written by Don Miguel Ruiz's - The Four Agreements.
1. Be impeccable with your words
2. Never make assumptions
3. Always do your best
4. Don't take anything personally
Wouldn't life be much easier if we stuck with those agreements? It is impossible to do so 100% of the time, but being aware does help.
