OOTD.

I would say ''people often ask me what product I'm using, or, who I'm wearing'' but truth is, no one asks me that. haha. I will tell you anyway.

Today for my hair, I went with the side pinned look. Ric has been begging me to shave the side of my head and let's just say that this is my no commitment alt_hair look. Here is what the left side looks like.       

 

The right side is pinned with a bobby pin. I simply twist my hair back. As for my makeup. MOISTURISE first and foremost. After applying my concealer, foundation, bronzer etc.. I primed my eye lids with Urban Decay eyeshadow primer. For the shadow, I used the original naked pallet by Urban Decay. I brushed Sin over my entire eye lid,  applied Sidecar in a C shape around the outside corners of my eyes, along the lash line and up to the crease. Use Creep over the outer corner over the C I just drew. Highlight the browbone with Virgin. Pressed a thin line of Buck over the lower lash line and I used a fluffy brush to blend it all together.  I used the benefit watt's up highlighter for my cheeks and Bobbi Brown cream blush in Coral.

 I finished my look with a Nars lipstick - Shiap. I curled my hair with a 32mm barrel curling want, use hairspray, wait until it is set and then I brush the curls out. I apply more hairspray after. As for my OOTD, I am wearing a seafoam cable knit sweater from Old Navy paired with Urban leggings from RW&CO in black (these are amazing - they're in a dress pant material making them appropriate for work). Finished it off with a thick gold chain from Aldo.

            

There it is.

Comfort wins once and for all.

Bye bye Romance. I just bought comfy pants. These are not coming off until spring. So long, farewell.

But for real. These are so comfortable and extremely soft and they're a cheap knockoff of the ones they sell at Roots (I can't justify buying them.. cough cough nudge nudge).  Also comes in black, white and a lighter grey.

Nose job.

I feel like my friends often think "oh no, what is she going to do next?". I'm impuslvie, always have been and always will be. Plus side of being impulsive is that I get things done, downside, well, I...you know.

So what did I do now?  I pierced my nose. The piercer looked like Cam Gigandet and was very Zen and VERY nice. I had my nose pierced back in the day and I had a lovely (NOT) diamond stud in it. Very 2006. I took it out because I thought it wasn't professional. And now? Well. I don't care.

Tales of living with a boy.

I've been living with Mr. Prager since the end of August. Although I miss my girls, living with a boy is pretty great. BUT, when you want sincere fashion advice, it can become a challenge.

I put on my burgundy Banana Republic Gemma Wrap dress. I had an important meeting that day and I wanted to look good. As this dress has a pretty deep V,  I wore a bandeau to make it more business profesh. I put on a pair of black nylons and I come to realise that it may be a little too... slu...tight.

"Ric, is this dress too slu...tight?"
"No, you look great"

well.... his opinion was biased.

I get to my important meeting and take off my coat only to realise that the bandeau had slipped off my bra. Nothing says hello important Manager, nice to meet you like a little indecent exposure.  If you plan on wearing a wrap dress, please be advised.

Nonetheless, it's a great dress. Just maybe not for an important business meeting.

Entre la nuit, la nuit et l'aurore.

I've been awaiting this album for what feels like forever. I set the bar high since The Suburbs was unbelievable. First listen, nothing stuck. Second, third, fourth... by the 5th listen I was disappointed. None of the songs were catchy and I didn't feel like I could relate to any of them. I decided to read a few reviews to see what others thought of this long awaited album.

It was during the 6th listen that I decided it was the most amazing thing ever. It brought me back to my Perception Psychology class at UofO. My teacher was talking music and how a song is different every time you hear it. I guess I needed to hear it enough times to appreciate the ensemble and accept it for what it was. If it was exactly like The Suburbs, it would be boring and repetitive. I appreciate that they changed their sound; added some techno beats. It's different and original and absolutely brilliant.

What do you think of Reflektor? Also, according to the reviews, Porno is the worst song on the ablum, uh, I beg to differ.  You can now buy (BUY IT, THEY DESERVE IT) the album on iTunes.
